Jefferson County

Jefferson County has been emerging as a haven for St. Louis commuters who prefer a rural lifestyle. Interstate 55, U.S. Highways 61, 67, and State Highways 21 and 30 provide Jefferson County with access to the city or the countryside. Families have found the low cost of living, affordable housing and room to grow great reasons to live here.

Hillsboro is the county seat of Jefferson County. Comprised of residential communities the area offers residents a rural atmosphere with close proximity to St. Louis area amenities. Housing can be found in town on country acreage or in one of the upscale lake developments.

Arnold is located just south of Highway 55. Commuters appreciate the affordable housing and low tax base. The area has continued to prosper while still maintaining its small town feel.

High Ridge and House Springs are located along Hwy 30 in the north central region of Jefferson County. Homes vary in price and size and include new home developments in this rural community. Homeowners enjoy the seclusion of the rolling hills and wide open spaces.

Other surrounding communities include Festus, Desoto, and Imperial.

Franklin County

With the Missouri River as its northern border, Franklin County has a history rich in river and rural lore. Victorian architecture and rolling farmland, continue to encourage families to migrate west to Franklin County.

Washington is located in the Heart of the Missouri Wine Country's rolling hills. Since the early 1800's Washington's old world charm on the southern bank of the Missouri River has invited people to settle in the area.

New Haven was one of the original settlements along the Missouri River. The town of New Haven offers Bed & Breakfast Inns and award winning wineries.

Pacific is located just off Interstate 44 and is easily accessible to the St. Louis area, offering new home communities as well as rural, small town lifestyle. Residents enjoy the close proximity to Six Flags Mid America, Jellystone Park, and Purina Farms.

Union, Labadie, and Sullivan offer an abundance of recreational opportunities including hiking, boating, camping, and fishing.

St. Albans is located just west of St. Louis County. Rolling hills offer bluff vistas along the Missouri River in this 5,200 acre upscale residential planned golf course community. Residents of this luxury resort can dine at the historic Gardens of Malmaison, play golf at the two courses at St. Albans Country Club and stop for a drink and a snack at the 1893 Head's General Store.
